Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2025
Sliced Backhand Ltd (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Reflexes mobile application (the “App”).
Sliced Backhand Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales and complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. However, the App is available globally, and we respect the privacy rights of all users regardless of their location.
International Users: If you are located outside the UK, this Privacy Policy also applies to you. Where your local data protection laws provide you with stronger protections than those described here, those local laws shall prevail to the extent they are applicable.
Overview of Our Privacy Approach
Privacy by Design: The Reflexes App is designed with your privacy as a fundamental principle. All data processing occurs entirely on your device using AI and augmented reality (AR) technologies. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers.
Information We Do NOT Collect
Sliced Backhand Ltd does not collect, process, or have access to:
- Personal identification information
- Contact details (email, phone number, address)
- Camera data or AR images (all AR processing is on-device)
- Biometric data or facial recognition data
- Location data
- Payment information
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Device identifiers for tracking purposes
How the App Works
The Reflexes App uses artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) to create interactive reflex training games where you hit targets on the screen. All processing occurs locally on your device:
- AI Processing: Game logic and target generation are computed entirely on your device
- AR Processing: Camera feed is processed in real-time on your device and is never transmitted or stored
- Game Data: Your scores, progress, and settings are stored only on your device
Local Data Storage
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
- Game progress and personal best scores
- Training session history
- Game settings and preferences
- Username (if you choose to create one, stored locally only)
This data remains under your control at all times and can be deleted by removing the App from your device.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud sync on your device, your game data may be automatically backed up to your personal iCloud account. This is managed entirely by Apple:
- We do not have access to your iCloud data
- Data synced to iCloud is protected by Apple's security measures
- You can disable iCloud sync in your device settings at any time
- Apple's privacy policy and terms govern iCloud services
Please review Apple's privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/uk/legal/privacy/ for information about how Apple handles iCloud data.
Camera and AR Permissions
The App requires camera access to provide AR-based reflex training games. Please note:
- Camera data is processed in real-time on your device only
- No photos, videos, or camera data are saved, transmitted, or stored
- You can revoke camera permissions at any time in your device settings
- The App will not function without camera access as AR is core to the gameplay
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party service involved is:
- Apple iOS Platform: The App runs on Apple's iOS platform and uses standard iOS APIs for camera access, storage, and optional iCloud sync
Children's Privacy
The App is suitable for users of all ages. Because we do not collect any personal data from any users, including children, we do not require parental consent under UK GDPR or the Data Protection Act 2018.
All data processing occurs on the user's device, and no personal information is transmitted to us or any third parties.

- The right to restrict processing

How These Rights Apply to Our App: As Sliced Backhand Ltd does not collect or process any personal data on our servers, these rights are largely not applicable to our App. All data is stored locally on your device and under your direct control. You may delete all App data at any time by deleting the App from your device. This privacy-by-design approach means you have complete control over your data without needing to submit formal requests to us.
Data Security
Your data security is ensured through our privacy-by-design approach:
- All data remains on your device, protected by your device's security features
- No data transmission to external servers means no risk of data breaches from our systems
- AR and AI processing occurs entirely on-device using secure iOS frameworks
- Optional iCloud backup is protected by Apple's encryption and security measures
International Data Transfers
As we do not collect or process any personal data on our servers, there are no international data transfers by Sliced Backhand Ltd. If you choose to enable iCloud sync, please refer to Apple's privacy policy regarding their international data transfer practices.
